Welcome to GoSlide ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application and website (the "Service"). We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), and other applicable data privacy laws.

2. Data we collect

We only collect information necessary to provide and improve the Service:

• Account information: If you sign in with your email, we collect and store that email address to identify your account. Songs, setlists, and preferences you create locally on a device remain on that device unless you sign in to sync them. You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the account menu.
• Usage data: When you visit our marketing pages, we log a device fingerprint (screen size, language, and similar non-precise device characteristics — not a persistent tracking cookie), the page you viewed, and the site that referred you. Approximate location (country, and region/city when available) is derived from Cloudflare, our network provider, at the network level — we do not collect or store your IP address. This is used to understand traffic and improve the Service, not to identify you personally.
• Content data: Songs, setlists, and preferences you create are stored in secure cloud databases to enable synchronization across your devices.

3. How we use your data

• To provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
• To enable real-time synchronization of presentation data across multiple devices using WebSockets.
• To analyze aggregate usage trends to ensure system health and optimize performance.

4. Data security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data transfers (including WebSocket connections) are encrypted via SSL/TLS. Authentication is passwordless: we email you a one-time sign-in code, so there is no password to store, remember, or leak. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes and session tokens are stored securely in our database.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (the "right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
